RECOMMENDATIONS: Motorcyclist accommodation in Europe

Sometimes we find awesome places to stay, that are good value for money.

We'll share them with you here. :)

Listings are by country (alphabetical order).

NORWAY

CAMPGROUND > Holmset Camping

A chillaxed campground by the Øysterelva River and surrounded by farmland - the perfect place to spend an extra day to relax and recharge.

  • Cosy cabins with well-equipped mini-kitchen, suitable for four people.

  • Two areas for tents: near the bathroom facilities and by the river.

  • Free hot showers with good water pressure.

  • Communal kitchen and small recreation room with books (some in English) to borrow.

  • Several hammocks on the riverside.

  • Funny and welcoming host. :)

HOTEL > Scandic Bodø

A very good budget hotel in the heart Bodø, close to the ferry to Lofoten Islands.

  • Nice rooms with ensuite and television with two English-speaking channels.

  • Free tea and coffee in the lobby.

  • Very generous buffet breakfast, with gluten-free options.

  • Easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars and the waterway.

  • Street parking at the front of the hotel.

  • A two-minute ride to the Bodø fergekai (ferry).

Spain

CAMPGROUND > Camping La Viorna Picos de Europa

One of our favourite places to stay in the Picos de Europa at the top of Spain.

  • 1 km from picturesque Potes on the famous 'Pots and Pans' route (Potes to Panes).

  • Quiet location with stunning views of the Picos de Europa National Park and nearby bell-endowed cows.

  • Convenient onsite restaurant, small grocery shop and two pools (season-dependent).

  • Very well-maintained and clean.

  • Run by a lovely family - one of the daughters had a new baby in 2023. :)

more places to stay

When we stay at another great place, we'll add it here for you. :)

See you on the road ...
